2000 Ford Expedition Starting Problem

I've been having a problem starting my 2000 Ford Expedition for about a month now and no one seems to know how to fix it. I've searched and searched with no luck in finding the solution but I have found many others with the same issue. In the morning it starts fine but once it's hot it will not start or even attempt to start. When you turn the key the dash lights come on but nothing happens. No sound. No click. Nothing. If you let it cool off for an hour or two it will start just fine. Several people have told me it's the starter. It's the battery. It's the altenator. I refused to believe any of these components because I think it is an electrical problem.

Well I found the problem. I replaced the starter relay located behind and above the battery on the firewall. The starter relay is not available from the usual auto parts stores so you will have to pick one up from a Ford dealer. It only cost me $30.36 and took about fifteen minutes to install. Really simple.

Hope this helps someone...
